Frequently Asked Questions

Weather
The weather in July averages around 31° during the day and 20° in the evening. Barring any spectacular bad luck on this front, we recommend preparing for the heat with your wardrobe choices and packing lots of sun tan lotion.

Dress Code
We don't have a strict dress code for the big day, but if you're wearing a frock: think bright, colourful and fun. For those suiting: think linen and don't worry about a tie. Our only request is that you avoid any all-black outfits; so leave those LBDs and tuxes back home.

The pizza party on Friday night will be relaxed and informal. Casual holiday attire will be perfect.

Food & Drink
Everything you eat between Friday night and Sunday morning is on us. There will wine flowing throughout, as well as an aperitivo after the ceremony and open bar after the meal.
If needed, you'll be able to purchase additional food and drink from ColleMassari, but with all the delights we've got in store, we don't think that'll be likely.

Cash
Italy is very card friendly, but it always helps to have a small amount of cash if you're planning to stay in Italy after the wedding. There won't be many opportunities for you to pay for things while you're onsite at ColleMassari, but they do take card if needed.

Photos
We have a photographer capturing the big day. She'll be like a fly on the wall, capturing candid moments of our celebrations. You can snap away to your hearts content across the weekend, we only ask that you refrain from taking pictures or videos during the ceremony, or posting any pictures of the bride and groom on social media before we do.

Footwear
ColleMassari is covered in lush gardens and we'll spend much of Saturday evening on the grass. Something to consider for the stiletto fans among you.

It's also possible to buy 'high heel stoppers' which might help avoid any sinkage.

Plus One
Due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate guests who are named on your invitation.

Passports
We know you know this, but just in case, do double-check that your passport will have 6 months validity remaining by the time that you travel.

Downtime
The weekend will be relaxed with plenty of opportunities for you to chill around the pool, explore the grounds of the estate or get out to see the local area. Unless we have activities listed on the itinerary in your room, please enjoy this time as your own and don't feel like you have to wait around for us.

Saturday Morning
Life's all about balance, or so we're told. In that spirit, we're planning a fun activity for Saturday morning to help relax, get moving and prepare for the big day. If you're interested in some (very) light activity, remember to pack some comfortable footwear and bring your finest sports wear. It's entirely optional, of course, so no pressure if your case is already full of outfit options.

Travel Essentials
Don't forget to bring an adapter for the Italian plug sockets. For those who know about these sorts of things, Type C plugs are most common in Tuscany (that's the one with two round prongs).

Registry & Gifting
The effort and expense required to attend a wedding in rural Tuscany is not lost on us and we're truly grateful you're making the journey across Europe to celebrate our wedding. In appreciation of all that goes into attending a destination wedding, we won't be having a registry nor will we expect any kind of gift.
If you absolutely won't take no for an answer, we plan to honeymoon in Japan, - where we got engaged in November 2024, so a small contribution to that trip would be very gratefully appreciated.
