Getting to
ColleMassari

Trains, Planes & Automobiles

By Car

Nestled deep in the Tuscan hills, the easiest way to reach Colle Massari is on four wheels. We recommend hiring a car at the airport and taking a slow drive to the venue. Rates are typically cheaper in Pisa than other cities, though smaller roads mean a slightly longer journey. Car hire also gives you the freedom to explore the local area, during the weekend and beyond.

Airports

Colle Massari is conveniently located between a number of airports, all with arrivals from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stanstead, and Luton. We suggest a morning flight on Friday to maximise the day's events, or indeed flying to Italy on Thursday and exploring another part of Tuscany before you arrive. As with car hire, flights to Pisa are generally slightly cheaper than Florence and Rome. Perugia is also an option, but doesn't receive as many flights as the others.

Taxi

For the nervous drivers, it's possible to take a taxi from any of the nearest airports. Given the journey time, however, this certainly won't be a cheap option. You'll need to prebook ahead of time, but it'll be a good opportunity to practice your Italian with the grumpy driver. If you'd like recommendations for a reliable airport transfer to the venue, please let us know.

Public Transport

For the more adventurous among you, it's possible to take the train from either Pisa, Rome or Florence to Grosseto - the biggest local city. The train from Pisa only takes around 90 minutes. Florence and Rome will take around 3.5 hours, though the views along the coast are wonderful. Once in Grosseto, it's around 45 minutes to ColleMassari via taxi.
